PostgreSQL, PostGIS and Windows Vista

Today I installed PostgreSQL 8.3.7 with PostGIS 1.3.5 on my laptop with Windows Vista SP1. I thought I'd found a great place to start when Google turned up Getting Started With PostGIS: An almost Idiot's Guide. I think it assumes a little more PostgreSQL experience than I have so I ran out of time to accomplish anything momentous. With any luck by the next time I get to look at this there will be an updated, or new, tutorial that provides a few more details.
